Apostle Dr. James Owens

Dr. James E. Owens was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He grew up in the Church of God in Christ where his parents, William and Betty Ann Owens labored under J.O. Patterson Sr. in the early years of their marriage. Pastor Owens is the name’s sake of the late Presiding Bishop, J.O. Patterson Sr. Bishop Owens accepted his call as a minister at the youthful age of 18 in the summer of 1984 while a student at Oral Roberts University. While attending Oral Roberts University, his major was music and theology from 1984 through 1987.

It was soon after, that Dr. Owens met and married his lovely wife Lynette of 30 plus years. They have 3 very talented adult children; Cortez 36, Britney 32 and James Jr. 30 who all are adults living in So. California. Headquarters for New Beginnings International is in Riverside, CA.

Dr. Owens education, professional training and accomplishments include some of the following. Education: AA, BA, M. Div. & Ph.D. Career: U.S. Army: 22 years, MSG/E8, 2 deployments overseas.

He served in ministry for 38 years; Pastor for 25 years. Dr. Owens has many other accomplishments and gives God all the credit for giving him the grace to have completed by the grace of Jesus Christ. There is yet much to be done and by no means is Dr. Owens finished yet. In many ways he is just beginning a new phase of his life in order that he might complete the assignments that Christ has called him to accomplish while here on earth.

Mrs. Lynette Owens was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Her parents Prentiss Lee & Eunice Porter are natives of Jackson Mississippi, and both are deceased. Lynette always desired a deeper understanding of God’s Word and that is when she began to seek God’s plans for her life.

In 1987, her life began to unfold as she joined a little store front church. This is where she learned to trust in the power of God’s Word and fulfillment within her own life. It was there that she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She then made a commitment to live and serve the Lord as He directed her footsteps. God began unveiling His will and perfect plan for her as she met and married Pastor James E. Owens in 1987.

They are the proud parents of three beautiful children: Cortez, Britney, and James Jr. And God gave her a powerful desire to minister to the family as a unit.

First Lady Lynette Owens

Lady Owen’s warm style of ministry is towards the family unit. It is her desire to open shelters and to see families restored and made whole again. God’s Word says “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.” 3 John 2 (KJV).

Lady Lynette Owens started her LLC origination WWIN (Women Walking in Newness). Lady Owens attended Bible School at Next Dimensions University where she has attained her B.A. degree in Biblical Studies. It is the deep desire of Lady Lynette Owens to make an impression here on earth that cannot be erased. Lady Owens is fully committed to accomplishing all that God has placed upon her life in order that she might hear those words from Jesus Christ according to Matthew 25:21 …” well done, thou good and faithful servant” (KJV).
